Therie suggests Jamir-Keishing boundary formula
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Jul 1 (NPN)
NPCC president K. Therie maintained that it would be in the interest of all, to uphold the decision of former chief ministers Dr. S.C. Jamir (Nagaland) and Rishang Keishing (Manipur) to honour both political and traditional boundaries between the two states.
In a statement, Therie opined that the documents could be available and since both Dr. Jamir and Rishang are still alive, both could be consulted on the matter. Therie mentioned the meeting between Captain Booth (from Manipur side) and the Naga Hills administrator, who met at Mount Küpamejü (near Pfütsero) and divided the boundaries between Manipur and Nagaland at watersheds and streams. In this regard, he said political boundaries were without inherent history and unrelated to landholding of inhabitants.
