The Ultimate Solution

People of Manipur are facing many problems, problems that of killing innocent men and women, that of unemployment, violent activities of the restless youths, many children become orphans everyday and many young women become widows because of insurgency problems in the state.

Manipur once famous to the world for tourism and games and sports, now known for civil wars and crimes. Corrupted politicians of the state instead of solving the problems for the sake of common people, help insurgent groups for man power and gun power.

On the other hand, writers, poets and journalists instead of suggesting the means for permanent solution of the age old problems, write their sad stories of wars and killings in the state. Instead of showing the problems and living and learning to be contented with the problems, its better we plan and get out of the problems and live a life of freedom.

Its right time that we share our ideas and chop out the ways for a save and better world. According to me, peace and normal life in Manipur is possible only when the attitudes of the people are changed.

Now, we see different small communities in the state are forming different small organizations and these small organizations are demanding many different demands for the development of their own people and for the conservation of their culture and identity. This brings the hatred among the communities and ultimately causes many communal riots in the state.

For peace in Manipur , we need unity, the unity of the people and this is what is impossible for many years and many generations. The unity is only possible when the attitudes of the people are changed.

The people of Manipur must change their attitudes from narrow communal feelings to the larger international outlooks.

One people one planet is the only mantra for the peace and communal harmony of the people of Manipur.

Meiteis must think that we have a role for world peace. The world needs our help and we belong to this world. The whole world is our community.

The Nagas, the Kukis, the Mizos and other communities also need to change their attitudes. I am a Naga..My life is for Naga only and forget the world...is the kind of attitude that we people in North East and rest of the country are thinking now.

One planet one people is the ultimate solution for all the people living in Manipur, North East and rest of the country. One Planet One people ...this idea will bring closer the people of different communities and once people understood the idea of international brotherhood, the respect for human life, love for peace and communal harmony will revive in the mind of the people.

I think our government must also encourage this idea and help to spread it among the people with the help of media and NGOs.

Once we do so, our dreams for a new India and for a new world will be realized.
