The Promise Of Virgin Birth (Isaiah 7:4)

Many people at that period were eagerly waiting for the Deliverer to come from heaven. Then in the days of King Ahaz, God once again narrows the line. This time He specifies how the Deliverer will come.
"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" (Is. 7:14).
Imagine 'a virgin birth', isn't that mind-boggling? From the natural perspective, it sounds next to impossible. King Ahaz, I believe, must be greatly wandering what is this that was never heard of! But he must have realized later after much conjectures, evaluation, thinking and rethinking on the very issue of the 'Virgin Birth' that only God could make such event happened. And that really happened.
The savior was indeed a human being made of flesh and blood as the scripture foretold. But he was not an ordinary people because He was sent by God to fulfill His Divine plan. In the fact of the virgin birth, we have a hint of the Messiah's true identity fully God and fully man.
Now let's walk down the street of the Bethlehem and find out some of facts ourselves. Here we go! There were big many cities and towns those days in Israel but He was born in a small town in Bethlehem. That shows God cares for poor and downtrodden as much as He cares for the Rich and privileged section. "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel … "(Micah 5:2).
When all these prophecies are put together we have an amazing protract of the Messiah. The scripture clearly states, He will be a Jew, from the tribe of Judah, a descendant of David, born of a virgin, in Bethlehem. Those days, at that precise period/era, many children must have been born? Who knows, many parents must be busy trying to match up some similarity with their own child.
Who would fit all those qualifications is the crucial question? Many people could fit the first one out of the long list of illegibility criterion, some might have fit the second, the third and so on but finally only one person in history qualifies all and His name is Jesus Christ.
This very mission of God The Almighty, arranged/prepared centuries of history in order to bring His Son to the world at just the right moment. God is the fulfiller of His promise, He is a promise keeper. This incredible trans-generational display of Gods faithfulness ought to give us hope as we move into the uncharted future. God never changes, He is still the same as He was 2000 years ago. What He had done that period, He can do for us today.
God's wonderful promises are still available for us today. "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1).
Let's practice patience as we await for the promises to fulfill in our lives. God, in the fullness of time will accomplish everything that is humanly impossible as the promise of the Virgin Birth came to pass and became one single event that ever happened in the history of mankind.
Jehovah, the God of hope, love and peace sent His only Son Jesus Christ to save us, and those who believe in Him will have eternal life.
If we confess our sins, He will receive you, He will love you. He will bring solace to your heart and "embrace you in His love".
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright;
Round yon virgin mother and child!
Holy infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Wishing all the readers a truly fulfilling Christmas!
