From Bangalore to Delhi to Imphal and as far as Dhaka, the tears of grief have turned to a firm resolve: Justice for Richard Loitam.
An Imphal-based band, Fringes, captured the mood of grieving family members, friends and supporters across India in poignant manner, presenting Eric Clapton’s soulful ballad Tears in Heaven during a candlelight vigil in Manipur’s capital on Sunday evening.
In Imphal, hundreds of mourners gathered at Uripok Yambem Leikai in a show of solidarity with the grieving family. Besides the performance by Fringes, Guru Rewben – a Thangkhul singer — also presented a number.
