IRMA Requires Academic Associates

IRMA is a premier, national level institute, engaged in teaching, training, research and consultancy in rural management. For those aspiring to academic careers, and seeking to enhance their research and teaching experience, IRMA invites applications for the position of Academic Associate in the following areas:

(1) Economics; (2) Organizational Behaviour/Human Resources;(3) Marketing Management; (4) Production & Operations Management/Quantitative Techniques (5) General Management; (6) Social Science; and (7)Finance.

Academic Associates will work closely with faculty members at IRMA to fulfill their academic commitments.

Qualification and Experience

Candidates should have completed Post Graduation (with a minimum of 55%), or acquired the appropriate professional qualification in any of the areas described above.

Remuneration and Tenure

Selected candidates will be placed in the Pay Band of Rs.9300-34800 +Rs.4600, wherein the emoluments shall be Rs. 27081/- per month. She/he will also receive HRA,Children’s Education Allowance, Medical Reimbursement, Contributory Provident Fund, & Leave Encashment, Casual Leave, Earned Leave, Medical Leave, as per IRMA service rules. The selected candidate shall be on a two year contract and will receive an annual increment with DA increase as applicable to other staff members. The candidate shall be on probation for a period of one year.

Consultant (IDRC-TTI)

The IDRC Think Tank Initiative (TTI) is a multi-donor initiative to support independent policy research institutions (think tanks) in developing countries to enable them do sound research that informs and influences policy. It is being managed by Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

Job Profile

The Consultant will be required to process the unit level data of consumption expenditure survey published by NSSO and unit level data of ASI published by CSO. This job is under IDRC-TTI project.

Qualification and Experience

The incumbent should be a Post Graduate in Economics with experience of handling unit level of at least one of the data base mentioned in the job profile. The Salary will be more than competitive and it will commensurate with experience and qualification. The position would be filled initially on contract basis for a period of 6 months.

The Director, IRMA reserves the right to make relaxation in the prescribed qualification/ experience, if otherwise found suitable at her/his discretion depending upon the requirement of the Institute at that point of time.

IRMA Requires Programme Coordinator (IDRC-TTI)

The IDRC Think Tank Initiative (TTI) is a multi-donor initiative to support independent policy research institutions (think tanks) in developing countries to enable them do sound research that informs and influences policy. It is being managed by Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

Job Profile

The Programme Coordinator would be required to handle Coordination and reporting of all activities of the research programs, policy initiatives and communication of outcomes of the project, develop and implement team processes in order to ensure good work flow within the team, coordinate linkages between IDRC and other stakeholders to communicate the work of the programme and facilitate collaboration on joint activities.

Qualification and Experience

The incumbent should preferably hold a MBA or any other Post Graduate Degree/Diploma from a reputed university/institution with at least two years of Officer level experience in handling of such Project work. The Salary will commensurate with experience and qualification. In addition, HRA, Children’s education allowance and medical expenses reimbursement are admissible as per IRMA rules. Besides, he/she would also be entitled to other benefits like PF, leave and leave encashment, LTC or LTC encashment as per IRMA rules.

The position would be filled initially on contract basis for a period of 2 years. The Director, IRMA reserves the right to make relaxation in the prescribed qualifications/ experience, if otherwise found suitable at her/his discretion depending upon the requirement of the Institute at that point of time.

IRMA Requires Research Associate (IDRC-TTI)

The IDRC Think Tank Initiative (TTI) is a multi-donor initiative to support independent policy research institutions (think tanks) in developing countries to enable them do sound research that informs and influences policy. It is being managed by Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

Job Profile

The Research Associate will be required to analyze data from primary surveys. In addition, s/he will be required to process the unit level data of consumption expenditure survey published by NSSO and unit level data of ASI published by CSO. The Research Associate will also be encouraged to pursue activities like writing policy papers, bringing out newsletters and so forth. This job is under IDRC-TTI grant.

Qualification and Experience

The incumbent should be a post graduate in economics/rural management/rural development with knowledge of applied econometrics and multivariate data analysis. s/he should have the experience of handling unit level of at least one of the data base mentioned in the job profile.
The Salary will be competitive and be commensurate with experience and qualification.
The position would be filled initially on contract basis for a period of one year extendable to a period of two and a half years.
