Seven-day Tourist Guide Training Programme concluded

MTF member with the first batch of Manipur Tourism Forum "Tourist Guide Training" were Faciliated by The President and Member of MTF
The seven-day Tourist Guide Training Programme organized by the Manipur Tourism Forum (MTF) concluded today with a practical round at Kangla.
Attended by twenty selected trainees, the Guide Training programme was initiated and designed by the MTF to address the growing need of Tour Guides in the state.
The condensed module included Tourism Overview of Manipur, Guiding concept, qualities and responsibilities, Personality development, Communication skills, Etiquettes, People and Traditions, historical sites, geography, topography, vegetation, museum, art galleries, tourist circuits of the state. A special session on First Aid was also included during the programme.
The trainees were also enlightened on the subjects pertaining to the flora and fauna, handloom and handicrafts and Arts and Culture of Manipur.
Subject experts who delved into the subjects included Dr. Ch Ibohal, Elina Satapathy, Kh Ranjita, Dr Kh Somorendro, Dr L Imoba, Dr H Nandiram, Haobam Sukumar and RK Sharma.
According to the MTF, the names and the details of the trained persons will be made available to all tourist related industries and the department of tourism.
