In view of the need to highlight and enlighten the local masses on the ethnographic account and to provide a comprehensive picture of the different character, status and position of Women in the northeastern region, the All India Tribal Students Association, Delhi will be conducting a seminar-Cum-Talks on ‘The Rights and Privileges of Women in the Northeast’ at Imphal, Manipur to commemorate its 14th years of relentless struggle for Justice and Progress.
The Association invites opinions and views from any interested Scholars, Writers/Journalist, Social workers, Employees, Priests, victims of domestic violence etc and to submit their presentation / written opinion and suggestion before 10th Dec 2007 to

NB:
- The outcome and suggestion put forward in the Seminar will be submitted to all the Northeast state government and the Union Ministry of Women and Child for favorable implementation
- Participation of Scholars, Doctors, Social workers, Religious leaders, Advocates, Victims of Domestic Violence and reputed
NGOs is desirable.
- Accommodation will be arranged for outstation delegates and provide traveling assistance depending upon the availability of Funds
