Scions on the Paddle of Emotion!

G S Oinam *

This is the message for scions, by challenge lies for the struggle of nation and right to lead inheritances. In this noisy world of animal planet where the weaker section of society has become the birds of prey, nobody will ask why you are withdrawing the build wall. So can you stand at the point being you did wrong?

Or, do you want to wait for life to teach you a lesson? And once you do realise you may have gone wrong, do you have the guts to set right for the mistake you made? What if you overcharged someone through they kept insisting you were doing so? Most of the people would instinctively not want to be trouble by guilt pangs; so they bury the thought and refuse to meet their own eyes for a few days because eyes tell you the real state of mind.

Agreed, an easy way to learn would be blindly accept the wisdom of generation; to learn about life through others- experience rather than making your own mistake. If you start where another left off, than you would have that much of a head way. But, most of us grew up with the peer pressure of ignoring hand-me–down wisdom. Our instinct is to question and revolt, and do quite the opposite if just to prove we are way ahead of time to our parents……..

For young scions, who either already led the inheritance politics in the state or young buds who are professionally qualified and chosen in promising entrepreneurship and successful in competitive civil services in a bright mood to learn and lead a new generation governance, and now, are often fallen to the paddle of emotion.

And they know that in these changing times, it is no longer easy to assume leadership role simply because they were born in the family belongs to old thought and tradition. But, these smart young people can sense at least, the differences between the old and new and can be ready to take the best of both to expand their empires. In such an environment, the only way to earn respect is to know your job thoroughly, align people with your vision and make them deliver.

An understanding of people, stress on transparency in both internal and external communication and modern politics, are departures from the way the old generations did things. There is no substitute for strong people's relationship, employees' relationship etc. The most important job we believe is trust. Trust can grow only through a solid relationship. What we will have to adapt to, however, is the manner in which the relationship is carried out. It is true, while chasing our materialistic dreams; we often tend to ignore the simple joys of life that usually bring the most memorable moments and enriching experiences.

There is nothing more crushing than losing hope. You have to be strong. Dark moods often overtake the mind of geniuses. The battle of inner mind can be had to interpret. The darkness is personal and void can become over power. In this sophisticated world, a single genuine voice can be hard to find. You would not want your dear one to suffer, even if due to their own fall, others may consider. It is wiser to recognise the point, beyond which do outsider can do anything, so strongly has a person's own will power, mind or destiny taken over.

Of course, a lot depends on the manner in which you point out the problems. Unless you are total slave to ego, such a situation leads to introspection, analysis and insights. That is how we grew up as human. It requires a lot of courage to admit if you were wrong and it is normally the weak amongst us who can not bear the burden guilt of blame. That is not to say that the person pointing the finger to you is always right, but courage lies in being able to discuss and analyse your methods and discussions even under the most trying circumstances, prepared to admit you could be wrong. Be simple is so simple but so difficult to be simple………..

If you can divide people into categories based on behavior, two type of people you may come across are – those willing to admit mistakes, and those who refuse to acknowledge they went wrong. The first will readily agree when you point out they erred and may even seek advice on making amends; or, at least be open to discussion. The second, however, will cut you and change the topic or walk out on you. We will have all come across people. Who have a pathological distaste to even mild criticism?

Here, we are, of course, assuming a medium of intelligence that allows you to analyse a situation dispassionately, a bit of sensitivity, a degree of objectivity and a whole load of courage. If one who resists correction is a relative, friend or boss, you will feel helpless and frustrated because as a bystander you may be acutely aware of where the problem lies, however, too much such circumstance, should you persist in continuing to point that finger or sheath it in the interest of harmony and let destiny take its course? The more sincere amongst us would go on and on with our warnings, especially if the fallout is likely to unpalatable. Certainly, you can not teach new skills to old dog.

Sooner or later, even though you may be reluctant to head others point at your mistake, the fallout your actions will be the first and strongest indicator that perhaps, there was something that you did not do quite right. What if you underpaid a poor man? Or screamed at someone innocent? Would you be brave enough to make amend? Now, that requires a different sort of courage to make amends once you admit that you make a mistake. Each generation wants to take their own decisions, make their own mistake and learn from them.

Well, certainly no harm is experimenting with life so try as you are prepared for the fallout. So long as the stakes are not high or destructive, one is well. Within one's rights to say 'it is my life and I have the rights to make my own destiny and that will be learning from my own mistake. And if truth be told, there is certainly charm in making your own bed and lying on it………..

Enough for now, these few words will realise our young scions to recall their hope and aspirations, promises made to expand the empires of wisdom. But, the world is not happening in the way we expected for, and often their visions dance before eyes after they absorbed into the system. Somebody likes to escape and cries for transfer and posting to other place; some are deeply coloured into the obese to be a smart magician, and some are remained reluctantly in the state of confusion.

Oh! My great scions! Have you ever lost your inner strength to speak openly and loudly as "My father was the ruler of this forest for many years; and now, I am the ruler and after my death my child will rule this forest again." you are disappointed after your father felt down in the middle of battle, right? But, the future of nation lies to you!

These rich, charismatic and promising young people were engulfed by their inner darkness. The loneliness of inner mind pushed to be a breaking point. Was it the prick of being isolation or bad advices or the sadness triggered by commitment made in the dark environment? When you let alone in a trouble atmosphere, you need to have a good support system to pad you from the jerks in life. These young politicians are almost silent for years but loneliness is the dirty secret in outgoing world.

And emptiness take over, rejection has been taught. They leave no space for good relationship because they feel people are using them as stair way for their gains. Hence, begins the process of isolation. And there is a lack of belonging. The way out, is to collect new friends and keep old ones. It is a powerful medicine. Will you listen to me?

There is shame and scandal, eccentricity and exhibitionism, publicity and propaganda; but there is also energy, a fatal attraction about the world that is obsessive. Once you have been part of it you feel in complete without it. Get professional help if you are constantly low or not feeling enthusiastic about activities that used to make you happy. Culture a hobby or focus on a cause will be helpful. You look like that you have it all, until inner demons push you to brink. People who occupy the positions of scions are forced to walk a razor—thin edge!
