Sanaton Hamom of Bangladesh awarded Thiyam Leirikmacha International Award 2013

Sahitya Thoupang Lup Imphal awarded Thiyam Leirikmacha International Award 2013 to Sanaton Hamom of Bangladesh on the 10th December 2013 at a function held at Manipur Hindi Parishad Hall Imphal.
Thiyam Leirikmacha International Award is given for every two years to the Manipuris settling in other countries who promote Manipuri Language and Literature.
Sanaton Hamom is a poet whi is well verse in manipuri and Bengali. He was born on 19th May, 1960 at Chhongaon, Adampur bazar, kamalganj, Moulvi bazar in Bangaladesh. So far he has published seven books of both Manipuri and Bengali poems.

Kolpobodhu (Bengali, 1988),
Ipsito Basona (Bengali, 1989),
Leinam Yaodrabi Leirang (Manipuri, 2000),
Thawaigi Nungshirei (Manipuri, 2004),
Mang Marakta (Manipuri, 2006),
Bhalobasar Kabyo (Bengali, 2009) and
Lei Katlura Thang Katlura (Manipuri, 2012).
He serves as the General Secretary of Kamalganj Branch of Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad and also Joint Secretary of Manipuri Vasa Govesona-O-Unnoyon Sangstha, Sylhet.
He is the author of
Proyas,
Chhonde Chhonde,
Ayuk and
UTbhob.
His latest book is Thamoinungee Manipur, a travelogue based on his recent visit to Manipur.
