Resolution adopted at NPF Legislature Party Meeting - 18th December 2017

Kohima, December 18, 2017:

DAN Legislators at the Meeting held at State Banquet Hall, Kohima on December 18, 2017

The NPF Legislature Party Meeting was held on 18.12.2017 at the State Banquet Hall, Kohima, where, amongst others, the prevailing political situations was discussed. After detailed deliberations, the following resolutions were adopted:

1. In keeping with the aspiration of the Naga people for an early resolution to the protracted Naga political issue, the NPF Legislature Party expresses its deep sense of appreciation to the Party's leadership for the steps taken in bringing about understanding and reconciliation in the NPF Party which was initiated to facilitate a united stand in supporting the on-going dialogue between the NSCN(IM) and the 6 (six) NNPGs with the Govt. of India for bringing about an inclusive, acceptable and an honourable solution to the Naga Political Issue.

2. It appreciates the decision taken for revocation of all suspension and expulsion orders against some of its members and withdrawal of all pending cases from the Court of Law, the Election Commission of India and the office of the Hon’ble Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly;

3. It places on record its deep obligation to remain firmly united in the reconciliation process and the need to continue fostering congenial atmosphere in the State for facilitating an early settlement to the Naga Political Issue;

4. Reaffirmed confidence and trust in the leadership of Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and Shri T.R. Zeliang while resolving to stand solidly behind the two visionary leaders as they lead the NPF Party and DAN Govt. forward; and

5. It further resolved to go to the 2018 State Assembly Elections under the Leadership of Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, President of the NPF Party and Shri T.R.Zeliang, as the Chief Ministerial candidate, if at all Election is to be conducted.

The above resolutions were unanimously adopted with all the members raising their hand in support.

DAN LEGISLATURE PARTY MEETING HELD ON 18TH DECEMBER 2017 AT STATE BANQUET HALL KOHIMA.

The DAN Legislature Party Meeting was held on 18.12.2017 at State Banquet Hall, Kohima to discuss in detail the above issues, whereby, the following resolutions were adopted:

1. Places on record its deep sense of appreciation for the rapprochement and reconciliation affected within the NPF Party;

2. Reaffirm and endorse the 5 (five) point resolution adopted by the NPF Legislature Party at its Meeting held on 18.12.2017 at State Banquet Hall, Kohima;

3. In view of the on-going political dialogue between the NSCN(IM) and the 6 (six) NNPGs with the Govt. of India, the DAN Legislature Party call for an early solution before Election which is inclusive, acceptable and honourable; and

4. Urge upon all DAN Party Members to co-operate and work in unison for successful return in the 2018 State Assembly Elections under the Leadership of Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, Chairman, Democratic Alliance of Nagaland and Shri T.R.Zeliang, as the Chief Ministerial Candidate if at all Election is to be conducted.

The above resolutions were unanimously adopted with all the members raising their hand in support.
