North East Tourism Road Show in Guwahati and Kolkata

Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India oraginsed a 3 (three) days road show for North East Tourism at Guwahati and Kolkata from 23 to 25 March 2012. The program was supported by Regional Director Office of Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India - Guwahati and Kolkata.
Day one was at Raj Mahal Hotel, Guwahati, the function was attended by Shri DK Baruah, Regional Director, Ministry of Tourism, Guwahati Office and Central Office of Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India was represented by Shri Sanjay Singh, ADAG, MoT, GoI. The delegates from all the 8 states of NE India presented the tourism potential of the state and were followed by one to one interaction with various tour operators. There was a session on exploring ways and mean to promote NE Tourism. Representatives from Manipur requested for inclusion of the other core area which may contribute in helping the influx of tourist in the state in various promotional videos and literature of Ministry of Tourism.

Day two and day three was organized at Big Boss Hotel, Rowden Street, Kolkata. Various tour operators from Kolkata had an opportunity to interact with the representatives of all the North Eastern states.
The participants of the 3 days program expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism for extending such opportunity to the states and its stake holders.
