No Delhi rule in Manipur
The Telegraph | Shillong, Aug. 21:
Union minister of state for home affairs Kiren Rijiju today said there was no move on the part of the Centre to impose President's rule in Manipur. "We are not imposing President's rule in Manipur," Rijiju said, in reply to queries here at the North East Co-operative Summit, whether the current situation in Manipur warranted central rule.
He, however, said the situation in Manipur is "quite delicate, but we are hopeful". "The security situation remains to be seen because normalcy has not returned yet," Rijiju added.
