At least nine candidates from Manipur have cracked the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 with a woman ranking the highest among them.

The ten successful candidates who have proved their mettle and their ranks, as reported by India TodayNE are as follows--

AIR 508- Kshetrimayum Deepi Chanu
AIR 543- Carolyn Chingthianmawi
AIR 740- Rahul Hijam
AIR 757- Heikrujam Prasanjeet
AIR 768- Chiinzoukim Tungnung
AIR 826- Syed Sadique
AIR 870- M Molightson Kanshouwa
AIR 898- Hatchinghoi Haokip
AIR 921- S Christopher Aimol
AIR 994- Dominic Sominthang Haokip

Notably, Kshetrimayum Deepi Chanu, Heikrujam Prasanjeet and Hatchinghoi Haokip had previously cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2021 .

Chiinzoukim Tungnung had also cleared the 2022-23 exam.

Kshetrimayum Deepi Chanu hails from Kakching Paji Leikai.

Heikrujam Prasanjeet hails from Heirangoithong.

This is the first time that Rahul Hijam has cracked the examination.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the examination in September 2023, and interviews were held between January and April this year. The results were announced by the Union Public Service Commission today.

The Brothers of Syed Society (BoSS), Manipur has congratulated Syed Sadique on cracking the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 . Syed Sadique is among 10 from Manipur who cracked the examination, the results of which were announced yesterday. He secured all India 826 rank in the examination.

Syed Sadique hails from Minuthong, Hafiz Hatta, Porompat, Imphal East. Syed is the son of Syed Riyajuddin (DSP, Central Motor Transport Workshop, Manipur) and Sauda Syeda. He studied MA in Public Administration at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

Brothers of Syed Society (BoSS) is a civil society organization of Syeds or Meraimayums of Manipur. The organisation is overwhelmed by his stupendous achievement in the said exam and wishes him all the best for future endeavours, said the organisation in a statement.

The ten aspirants who have cracked the examination are Kshetrimayum Deepi Chanu (AIR 508), Carolyn Chingthianmawi (AIR 543), Rahul Hijam (AIR 740), Heikrujam Prasanjeet (AIR 757), Chiinzoukim Tungnung (AIR 768), Syed Sidiqui (AIR 826), M Molightson Kanshouwa (AIR 870), Hatchinghoi Haokip (AIR 898), S Christopher Aimol (AIR 921) and Dominic Sominthang Haokip (AIR 994) .
