1st National Level Online Quiz Competition on 'Olympic Games'

As a part of awareness generation and cheering to the Indian Team participating in Tokyo Olympics 2020 the National Sports University, organised the 1st National Level Online Quiz Competition on the topic “The Olympics “on Tuesday 13thJuly 2021. On this occasion, Shri. R.C. Mishra, IAS (Retd.) Vice-Chancellor, NSU graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Shri L. Shyam Kumar, Registrar, NSU and Prof. R. Subramanian, Dean of Academics were also present as Special Invitees.

A total of 1500 students from across the country registered online for the quiz competition. 1300 students qualified to participate in the preliminary round that was held on 10th July, 2021. On the basis of their performance in the preliminary round top 10 contestants were selected for the final round.

The Vice Chancellor, NSU declared the result of the quiz and congratulated all the 10 participants and winners for their hard work. While sharing his views on the event he said that he was proud of the students for their participation at such a large scale as it reflected their interest in sports.

He also stated that such prestigious national level events and competitions should be conducted regularly by the University on annual basis. He further said that students can look forward to participating to such events in the future.

From amongst the ten finalists, the 1st prize of Rs 10000/ was won by Mr. Aurosri Arindam, Class XI Students, Mothers Public School from, Odisha, 2nd prize of Rs 8000/ went to Ms. Riya Tekcham, Class XII, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Churachandpur from Manipur and 3rd prize of Rs 6000/ went to by Ms. Chahak Dhoot from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh. The cash prizes and E-Certificates to the top three winners were distributed to the winners by the Vice-Chancellor in a virtual ceremony.
