National Integration Tour flags off
Aimed at showcasing the ‘Unity in Diversity’ of the nation to the children of Manipur, 12 BIHAR of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) is organising a National Integration Tour in which 20 students of various schools of Imphal are participating.
The tour to Delhi & Agra was flagged off by Brigadier Jai Singh Bainsla, Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles on 04 January 2017 from Imphal. He praised the children and teachers for showing keen interest and enthusiasm for the tour and encouraged the children to take full advantage of this opportunity to imbibe new ideas and emphasised that our children should also bring out the rich culture and heritage of Manipur while interacting with people in Delhi & Agra.
The tour will help the students in comprehending the vast diversity, traditions and vibrant culture of the country. Besides visit to various historical places like Qutub Minar, Red Fort, India Gate, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri the tour will also visit places of academic interest in Delhi.
The students will also interact with the Honourable President of India, Mr Pranab Mukharjee and Honourable Minister for Human Resources Development, Mr Prakash Javadekar.
The student to student interaction during visit to Army Public School Dhaulakuan and Delhi University will provide a platform for exchange of ideas and thoughts with students from other parts of the country.
The participants will also witness the Army Day Parade on 15 January 2017 and will interact with General Bipin Rawat, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Army Staff before returning to Imphal on 20 January 2017.
