'Naming of Bailey Suspension Bridge at Tipaimukh is wrong'

Tipaimukh, 28th November, 2021

The inauguration and opening of Bailey Suspension Bridge at 'Zawlliensuo' over Barrak river which falls under Tipaimukh Constituency by Manipur CM, N.Biren Singh on November 23, 2021 through video conference is a much awaited relief for the people.

On the occassion of the inauguration, name of the village and name of the location where the bridge had been built for public use was inscripted and written wrongly in both the inauguration stone and banner.

Could this be a reason of sheer negligence by the concern responsible for it? or could it be because of lack of awareness of the area and location? or could it be due to disregards for the sentiments of the people living in Tipaimukh Constituency? Such carelessness is a testimony of disrespect and disregards for the peoples' emotions and sentiments.

We would like to make it known to the public and concerned authorities of the fact that there is no such village by the name 'PAIPHUNMUAN' within Tipaimukh Constituency as inscripted and written in the inauguration stone and banner on the occassion of the inauguration of Bailey Suspension Bridge.

The name of place where the bridge had been laid is Zawlliensuo and not Tipaimukh as inscripted in the inauguration stone. The child-like behaviour and attitude of BJP government in Manipur by not inviting Tipaimukh A/C MLA Dr. Chaltonlien Amo who is the main responsible person in starting the Project (The Bailey Suspension Bridge) only shows how immature and insensitive the BJP government is.

The carelessness, negligence and insensitivity of the BJP government speaks the amount and volume of the respect and regards it holds for the people of Tipaimukh AC.
