Mapam Lamdam Chatnatha
Dr. Romio Khangemba *
Under the azure sky and crisp air,
When the fragrance of merry gold flower,
In every whiff of evening breeze,
Autumn has finally arrived.
Blessed is the woman hood,
In the fathomless happiness,
Melting away in moon-lit night,
Filled with tender heart.
The long awaited days of "Ningol Chakouba"
Seems to be within grasp of ten little fingers,
Solitude and the anguish all wash away,
Replace by silly smile on every move with no apparent reason.
Feeling excited on receiving the invite,
And the know that parents and the siblings
Are expecting with same longingness,
To share all the silly thing fondly remembered
that more would continue to fill day.
Pampered like a princess,
Daughters are precious diamond,
Fondly nurtured with love and care,
The only reason to live for parent,
Yet patiently waiting for that,
Sound of foot step on the door way,
And the familiar smile would flood with happiness .
In all finery of traditionally woven dress,
The princess bring back all the joy,
With a mesmerizing smile and,
The sweetest sound of "Ima"
Filling the home with boundless.
The fest have been augmented,
To the tiniest details season with love,
The gift though humble is only a pleasantry,
The whole world is not enough,
Your blessings are happiness is the whole world to us,
Oh! Divine one.
Note: I deeply shared the sorrows of Ningol whom are staying at relief camps
