2. Centre of Examination:- Imphal. 3. ELIGIBILITY CONDITION:- (i) The candidate must be a citizen of India. (ii) AGE LIMIT (as on 1st July, 2005) 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxable by 3(three) years for OBC and 5(five) years for SC/ST. Further the upper age limit mentioned above has been relaxed by another 5(five) years for all categories as one time measure by the State Government vide order No.3/11/2004-DR/DP dated 15/7/2005. (iii) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:-Degree or equivalent of a recognized University or Institution. NOTE:- (i) The candidates who have appeared at qualifying examination and also the candidates who intend to appear at such a qualifying examination may appear the Preliminary Examination. NOTE:- (ii) Candidates, who have passed the final professional MBBS or any other Medical Examination will be required to produce at the time of interview, original degree or a certificate from the University/Institution for completion of requirements for award of the Degree. (iv) No. Of attempts:- (a) 4(four) attempts for general candidate, (b) 7(seven) attempts for OBC, (c) No restriction for SC/ST candidates who are otherwise eligible. An attempt at Preliminary Examination will be counted as an attempt for the exam. 4. FEE:-Rs.100/-(Gen & OBC) and Rs.25/-(SC & ST) in Bank Draft from a Nationalised Bank to be drawn in favour of Secretary, Manipur Public Service Commission payable at Imphal. Any other forms of payment will not be entertained. NOTE:- Candidates admitted to the Main Examination will be required to pay a fee of Rs.200/-(Gen & OBC) and Rs.50/-(SC & ST). 5. No candidate will be admitted to the Preliminary/Main Examination unless he/she holds a certificate of admission from the Commission for that purpose. 6. The decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the Examination shall be final. 7. The prescribed application forms along with syllabi for Preliminary Examination will be obtained from the office of the MPSC on payment of Rs.20/-. The candidates may download the application forms from the Commission's website http://www.mpscmanipur.gov.in/ . Such candidates who have utilized the downloaded application forms should pay Rs.20/- in addition to the prescribed examination fee in total Rs.120/-(Gen & OBC) and Rs45/-(SC & ST). 8. All candidates in service other than casual or muster roll will be required to state in the application form that they have informed in writing their employer/controlling authority that they have applied for the examination. In case the employer or the controlling authority withhold permission to the candidates applying for appearing at the examination their application will be rejected and his/her candidature will be liable to be cancelled. 9. Candidates are not required to submit along with their application any certificate in support of their claims regarding age educational qualification SC/ST/OBC which will be verified at the time of Main Examination only. Their admission at all stages of examination will be purely provisional. If any of their claims is found to be incorrect their candidature will be cancelled and they may render themselves liable to disciplinary action by the Commission in terms of rule 12 of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination Rules, 2005. 10. The completed application form should be submitted to the Secretary, MPSC along with a self addressed stamped ( Rs.5/-) envelope of the size of 23 x 10 c.m and acknowledgement card affixed with a postage stamp of Rs.5/- thereon. 11. The last date for issue and receipt of applications is 29th September, 2005.
