Lord Keep Me In The Centre Of Your Will

God's will is a place of safety. When we walk in the will of God, we find safety. But when we live outside of God's will, we forfeit His protection. We all want to be in the centre of God's will. We must regularly ask God to show us what His will is and lead us in it.
FOUR GOOD THINGS THAT ARE TRUE ABOUT GOD'S WILL
Following God's will does not mean we will never have trouble. Trouble is a part of life. Having fulfillment and peace in the midst of trouble is what living in God's will is all about. There is a great confidence in knowing that you are walking in the will of God, and doing what He wants you to do.
When you are sure of that, you can better deal with what life brings you. So don't think that trouble in your life means you are out of God's will. God uses the trouble you have to perfect you. There is a big difference between being out of God's will and being refined or tested by God. Both are uncomfortable, but one leads to life and one doesn't. In one you will have peace, no matter how uncomfortable it gets. In the other, you won't.
Following God's will is not easy. The life of Jesus confirms that following God's will is not always fun, enjoyable, pleasant, and easy. Jesus was doing God's will when He went to the cross. He said, "For I have come down from Heaven not to do My will but to do the will of Him who sent Me" (Jn. 6:38). If anyone could have said, "I don't want to follow God's will today", I think it would have been Him. But He did it perfectly. And now, He will enable us to do it too.
Following God's will can make you very uncomfortable. In fact, if you don't ever feel stretched or uncomfortable in your walk with the Lord, then, you can be questioned whether you are actually in the will of God. It has been my personal experience that stretched and uncomfortable is a way of life when walking in the will of God.
Following God's will doesn't happen automatically. That's because God gave us a choice as to whether we subject our will to Him or not. We make that decision every day. Will we seek His Will? Will we ask Him for wisdom! Will we do what he says? "Do not be unwise, but understand what the Lord's will is" (Eph.5:17). God's will is the way we choose to live each day of our lives.
God doesn't want you to live your life for the lusts of the flesh, "but rather for the will of God" (I Peter 4:2). He wants to "make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight" (Heb. 13:21). For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose" (Philippians 2:13). I pray that in everything you do "you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God" (Col. 4:12).
The best place to start seeking God's will for your life is "give thanks in all circumstance, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (I Thessalonians 5: 18). Thank Him for keeping you in the centre of His will. Then ask Him to guide your every step. It feels so good to be confident that you are on the right path and doing what God wants, that I know you will do whatever it takes to experience it.
Let's pray that God will fill us with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding" (Col. 1:9). God will help us to walk in a worthy manner, fully pleasing to Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of His ways.
Even as Jesus said, "Not My will, but yours be done" (Lk. 22:42), so I say, not my will but your will be done in my life "I desire to do your will, O my God" (Ps. 40:8). You are more important to me than anything. Your will is more important to me than my desires. I want to live as your servant, doing your will from my heart (Eph. 6:6).
We need to keep our hearts align with His so that we will always hear His voice saying "This is the way, walk in it".
Discern God's Still Voice!
