Life moves on

Themneivah Sitlhou *

Life is like a flower that blooms and dies. Life is like a fog in the morning which can clear any minute. Life is like a colourful rainbow full of experience, and ups and downs. Is life already determined by God even before we exist!!? This is a controversial issue. I won’t bother in proving either side of it.

However, I want to say that life is a journey and death is our final destination on earth. Every day is an experience of our life. There are problems to solve and lessons to learn. Besides, there are also many unsolved things with no trace of an answer.

Yes, this is life and we must stay strong to face any situation because life must move on. We are given only one chance to live so we have to make the most the best of it.

We are born in a family and we are from a society. We are connected with ties that surround us. I would say that challenges are much harder to a humble family. You may not be thrown out from your peers or society but what matters is how you feel.

You couldn’t enjoy any of what your friends do. Yes no one stops you but your conscience does. But no one can make us weak without our mental acceptance so we should stay strong because life moves on. Generally relationship problems arise within family, friends and society.

Sometimes we feel exhausted and irritated when it worsens because we cannot live our life all alone. We are social animals and we are meant to socialize among ourselves. Hence we should stabilise our social relationship so that we can move on with our life.

Relationship problems arise when we give too much time or when we completely ignore it. Therefore, there must be a striking balance in every relationship. Good and bad goes hand in hand and choice is ours. If one can help you there is eventually another one who causes problems for you.

You may work very hard for society but there will always be another party who doesn’t value it. One favours you while others dejected you. Not everyone in this world will like you. Don’t feel down as this is a universal fact. A bunch of people with different likes, thoughts and temperament make up a society.

Obviously, there will be misunderstanding among us. We are guaranteed the right to live but we are not actually free at all. So what we should do is fit ourselves in this world. We solve, we learn, we become stronger then we move on. Your part is how you react to the situation.

Do you overcome with peace or with anger? Sometimes I play the deaf role so that I wouldn’t hear of some conversation. I pretend as blind so that I shouldn’t see some scene which will arouse my anger. Also, I play as dumb so that I won’t hurt others.

We should play these roles according to the situation because life moves on. We shouldn’t let the behaviour of others destroy our inner peace. It is our actions which reflect who we are. We shouldn’t drive ourselves to the devil because of others’ actions.

We must live our life along with proving to the world that kindness exists and none can win against it. Everyone, including the deaf, blind and mentally disabled can feel the language of kindness. Living a purposeful life is a successful life. When we were a kid our challenges were learning how to speak and walk. Then we learn how to read and write. Soon enough we enter our teenage stage.

We started facing problems from different angles from family to friends. We work very hard in our own field not to disappoint our parents. Challenges become harder each time we move up to our next stage of life. Likewise we become stronger as we move up. Life hits hard most in the adult stage. It is a sign of adulthood when none wake us up in the morning other than our problems.

So, there is not a single stage where challenges are off but what we see is life moves on. We should learn to cope with the alteration of life and challenges because even a second of time does not lag behind but time moves on.

One of the biggest obstacles why we can’t move forward is that of self acceptance. It is human nature that we don’t want to feel inferior towards others. It is hard to accept our flaws and weaknesses. But lucky is the one who quickly snatches the opportunity to fight his inferior side and move forward. But we are blinded with fear and pride to accept our weakness.

We must learn to accept ourselves because it is us who know the best of ourselves. Peace must begin within ourselves for us to move on. We must learn to forgive ourselves. We must give ourselves a chance to do better and to love better. Every human being had a dark side of their life. There are painful memories which hunt us and sometimes awake us at night.

We should learn to forgive others, even those who don’t deserve it because there is no peace of mind in holding a grudge. Hating and blaming is a waste of time with no answer. It is none other than for our sake, we must forgive so that we can move on. What if we can’t forget our past unless we are prone from memory loss?! Yes the fact will not change but we can change on how we perceive it.

We should instead use this opportunity to become stronger and explore the world with more positivity. When we accept our past, there is always a new path and hope that awaits us. As mentioned earlier, time does not delay. If it does, it is us who is stuck. So the earlier we learn, the more advanced we move on.

There are lots of people who stumble at one Point of their life. It may be because of heartbreak, loss of life, pains and many more. They think that it is the end of their life and they felt hopeless. If you think so, yes you are hopeless as long as you stick to your past. Note that every single person in this world is fighting their own battles.

The one who learns to accept every circumstance and snatch the good one and dispatch the bad one are the lucky one in this world. If they can, why can’t you??! Only if we learn to accept ourselves, there will be less depression. Remember nothing lasts forever in this world so do problems and pains. There is always a new day after a gloomy night.

Life is a mystery and even our existence itself is. Every religion interprets the theory of life differently. But we all have a common belief that the good doers are rewarded in life and life after death. What if you are an atheist!!? Not to mention religion, every good person is rewarded with love, respect and good names. In life what we give is what we receive that is what we call karma and none can escape it.

So we should live our life cautiously. We should enjoy our life but very carefully. We should learn, forgive, grow stronger and accept our flaws to move forward because life moves on, and we should catch up with it. We should know the purpose of our existence and live our life. Why don’t you make your life the best journey!!?
