Kuki-Meitei solution

There is a solution for the present violent imbroglio i.e., to fight till the end, till the last man. That can be done by both sides – I have no doubt about it. Both sides have enough courage to carry on the bloodbath; it may take a few years to annihilate one another.
For a shortcut, one may smuggle a nuclear device. Our enemies will be happy to give one or two. We have already beaten Russia – Ukraine in terms of brutality and cruelty. Why should we long for a holocaust?
If we really want to stop this madness, first we need to check the violence; whether you like it, government machinery including the police and security agencies must assert to the fullest (taking risks). Law and order must be restored at any cost with an iron hand. Otherwise, normalcy will remain a mirage.
Why should we blame others? These are our own crimes; we are responsible - both sides have the onus. More than a hundred people have lost their lives in just 40 days. Still, the fights are on, in various locations.
Sporadic unfortunate incidents are taking place without any rhyme or reason, mostly during the late evenings or in the middle of the night. We are not so sure whether there is a big design working behind the scenes.
The majority Meiteis are not wise enough to handle the situation; perhaps they have become more emotionally driven by senseless sentiments. Their big brotherly ego is hurt when the younger brother becomes more aggressive and demanding. Still, they can't believe how they could do this?
For acquiring political power one can use any means. Politics is a constant struggle for power - Machiavelli. If we keep indulging in power politics even at the cost of untold human miseries, evacuations, and bloodbaths there will be no one left. When there are hardly any people or subjects how will you rule? You need people to rule over them.
One suspended Prof from a defunct University said, "I am observing the violence and killing patterns, it looks like a population control program. Since we have beaten China demographically, we need to reduce the population drastically. But this is a very crude way of population control. What Sanjay Gandhi did years ago was much better ".
The entire country is watching and saying that Manipur has gone to the dogs; brothers are fighting and killing one another. They are not listening to sane voices. Now they perhaps need some kind of insane reaction from the dispensation. They don't even listen to the call of the Union Home Minister.
Many people have tried to remain calm and bring back normalcy. Still in vain. HM made an appeal to all the people of Manipur to stop violence and bring back normalcy; seriously he is planning to do something for both the communities.
One community perhaps felt that they are being left out. So, immediately their leaders rushed to Delhi and made the Union Home Minister. They wanted to safeguard their land – I believe they want to safeguard their traditional land – that is Manipur. I still believe that all the communities and ethnic groups born and brought up here in this land must be loving this land. That is their motherland.
According to Foucault "Power is not an institution and not a structure; neither it is endowed; it is the one that attributes to a complex strategic situation in a particular society. Power is not a thing but a relation.
We live in a web of power relations. Power operates at the most micro levels of social relations." Perhaps our society, which consists of 35-odd ethnic communities, is trying itself to redefine the power relations by changing the social equations – but in a bloody way.
Anywhere in the world minorities feel insecure; so they tend to live together in an area where their brethrens live in large numbers. Normally they try to concentrate in a specific area. For instance in the UK , Akhand-Bharat people live together in Bradford. They are yet to ask for Scotland type autonomy. It is good for Britain.
Some groups have been trying to dismantle Manipur for quite some time. Real Jewel (diamond) can't be broken or destroyed. Dilli has already realized that Manipur is an unbreakable "Jewel" of India.
Dilli is repeatedly asking our leaders the possible amicable solution; allegations and counter allegations will not help them in finding an amicable solution. The top brass is seriously working on a feasible settlement more or less acceptable to all. Let us wait in peace; we have had enough violence and bloodshed.
There are committed people who are still vehemently protecting 'the idea of Manipur'. The 'idea of Manipur' also consists of a composite culture of Nagas, Kukis, Meities, Pangans and others. Small kitchens within the family can be worked out – but certainly not a wall within the family.
If we are committing one blunder after another it will be difficult to protect the "Jewel", even if 'Hastinapur' has a moral obligation to safeguard it.
