"Science without religion is lame. After hearing some of the discourses from internationally reputed scholars, I came to a conclusive and convincing arena that the sponsorship of the International conference extended by the Department of Clinical Psychology, Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) is quite reasonable. Again, spiritual life is greatly helped and guided by science. On the look out of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, it is in need of almost all branches of science. Because doctors’ domain of professional working is the society with individual life. The spirituality or the world-view on religion in its purest form, develops the ‘Morality’ of humanity by understanding deeper dimension of reality of outcome. Science, on the otherhand helps humanity and its social and religious life in various aspects of physical reality. Spirituality, the essence of religious principles guides humanity with proper vision for attaining a happy and peaceful society whereas science educates the religious doctrinaires to accomplish it. Thus the two systems of knowledge could bring the way for lasting peace in the world. Therefore, citizens and spiritualists feel the idea that now is the time to have a co-operative dialogue between scientists and spiritual masters for achieving lasting world peace. Albert Einstein: (1879-1955), born of German-Jewish parents at Wurttemburg, Germany was educated in Switzerland. He went to England and the United States of America in 1930s. His return to Germany was not desirable as the anti-Jewish Nazi Government did not favour him. He became an American nuclear scientist during the early part of Second World War. In his old age, he wanted peace. He wished there should be a control over nuclear blasts. The above slogan, now becomes workable in science and spirituality in the world order. The commentary shows his inclination towards religion which is in conformity with modern scientific truth. Albert Einstein died in America at his personal age of 76. Opinions in the Conference Hall: On the second day, the session 5, second sitting of the day was presided over by Prof L Fimate, Director, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal. All the scholars, both foreign and Indian spoke in English. However, all of them appeared to have been wedded to the studies of India’s Vedanta Philosophy. Prof Carlos Rocha, a mathematician from Venezuela delivered his discourse on ‘Vedantic Conception of the Original source of reality’. Prof Carlos Rocha was introduced by Prof L Fimate as one of the authorities of the world on the origin of life. Talkers including Prof Carlos Rocha with the help of slide films talked about the origin of life by discarding the Darwinian Theory. Mr Rocha was of the opinion that ‘Life comes from life’. Next, Dr Praveen Reddy coming from the college of Dental Sciences, Karnataka, India spoke on ‘Healthy Living: A way to peaceful life’. He came to the conclusion that healthy living is sure to have less problems. It is the scientific knowledge that helps human society. As a result of which man can live a peaceful life. A society is a collection of families. Individuals are within the family. Such a situation of peacefulness may bring world peace in a wider sense. After Mr Reddy, Dr Made Wardhana from the Bali island of Indonesia spoke on the topic ‘Psychoneuro-immunology: connecting mind-body and the spirit’. The pre-descendents of Dr Wardhana, himself a Hindu, as I believe it, must have been Indian origin.
