Justice shall be given to OUR Dear Friend Richard Loitam!
Thokchom Sunita *
On that FATEFUL NIGHT of 17th April;
I had all reasons to be happy AS ALWAYS.
With no worries I stand carefree that I'm save AT A PG IN PUNE
But FOR A FELLOW MATE FROM MANIPUR, WHOM I KNOWN NOT BEFORE,
Fate has ANOTHER STORY TO TELL.
HEARD he was beaten up2 Death AT HIS OWN COLLEGE, HIS OWN ROOM;
Nobody cared enough OR took his side
AS IF THEY HAVE VOWED TO BE BLIND & DEAF TO THE AILING CRIES OF HELP.
IT GIVES ME GOOSEBUMPS AND MY HEART WONDERS…
"O GOD, IS THIS YOUR MASTER PIECE, THE HUMAN RACE?
IF YES, I DESPICE CALLING MYSELF ONE!"
OR IS IT BECAUSE HE LOOKED DIFFERENT,
AND WAS IN A LAND WHICH HE CLAIMED TO BE HIS BUT WAS NEVER CONSIDERED A FELLOW BEING BY OTHERS IN THAT HELL.
Helpless and injured he lied on the ground
No1 picked him up for they HAVE NO HEART
He fight back to protect himself
Steady he lied on the floor, Humming that "I am not Wrong"
Struggling for justice that He was Innocent
HE HAD LEFT A SPACE, A FEAR IN MILLIONS OF HEART THAT WE ARE NOT SAFE!
Blood rained all over the floor
For he was punched many a times on the face
His Last wish must have been "Mummy I wish I am Home;
'Coz this place is no home"
He closed his eyes and no more he opens it up
For the 'Saitan' has no mercy & no grief for wHat he had done.
Many hearts has taken aback after the news BROKE OUT
All we pray is Peace to You, brother AND WISHED WE HAD BEEN THERE TOO
We are here with YOU,
United we stand That 'No more Richards Shall WASTE their lives in vain"
We your brothers and sister would bring peace to your soul
We will ProVE that IN THE END, JUSTICE WILL TRIUMP
For Justice shall be given to OUR Dear Friend Richard Loitam!
