Nagaland Chief Minister SC Jamir said
those who were party to the talks with the Government
of India should focus to their political problems,
issues and solutions and not "SC Jamir" as their
agenda.
"Unfortunately, some of the underground people only
resort to propaganda and political gimmicks in the
form of criticizing congress government and SC Jamir",
said Jamir, who is also president of the Nagaland
Pradesh Congress Committee(NPCC), while inaugurating
10-km black topping of the Ungma-Kubza road in
Mokochung. "SC Jamir is not an agenda for the
underground or the opposition parties".
The Chief Minister also said the agenda of the
underground organizations should be solution of the
Naga political problem, adding political parties,
rather than making personal attacks on him, should
have their own agenda for the benefit of the Naga
people.
Reiterating Congress party’s stand for peace, unity
and prosperity of the Naga people, Jamir said they had
reaffirmed that "unless all factions of the
underground are united and unless all groups of people
are involved in the political dialogue, no faction or
group can say that they represent the entire Naga
people".
Only after that, Nagas could present a united
voice to the Government of India for the solution of
the protracted Naga political problem, he added.
"We are not against anybody, but we are for
everybody", said the Chief Minister.
"And it is our
sincere appeal that they must come out of their small
tiny shell and start talking about the Nagas and not
about groups or factions".
