About MNP+
MNP+ Stands for Manipur Network of Positive People and MNP+ Office is situated at Yaiskul Hiruhanba Leikai, Imphal West Manipur. Regd. No. 62/M/SR/98.
MNP+, Manipur network of Positive People is the sole network especially formed and run by People Living With HIV/AIDS in the State of Manipur. MNP+, Manipur Network of Positive People was established way back in 7th September 1997 by only Five (5) injecting Drug Users and it was initiated as a Self Help Group so that they can share their problems and Help each Others in Times of Needs.
Now MNP+ have became a full fledge State Level Network for People Living With HIV and AIDs (PLWHA) affiliated to INP+ (Indian Network of Positive People) which is a national Level Network based at Chennai and has close linkage with 19 other different State Level Networks inside India. By the time when these people came with the idea of forming such a Group, the consciousness on the issue of HIV- AIDs, Treatments, Stigma and Discrimination, community Misconception towards them were so Pronounce, hence the Organization was born out of the feel needs of People Living With HIV and AIDs (PLWHA), so that they can be brought together to enable them to speak through one Single Forum with a Sense of Belongings and in one Unified, Stronger Voice.
MNP+ strongly believes that PLWHA (people living with HIV-AIDs) are of the Solution in Addressing the AIDs epedimic. MNP+ has been and still is been a Leading Orgazination in HIV-AIDs, Drug Menace research, Advocacy and Front Line Leader on a State Level Netwok.
This non profit Organization remains committed till today to make a difference in the State of Manipur by initiating the formation of 9 District level Networks spanning over the State to Serve those most in needs, disadvantage and Vulnerable population of the State of Manipur.
