Interaction with Nehginpao Kipgen at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi

Mr Nehginpao Kipgen, general secretary of the US - based Kuki International Forum (KIF) and a researcher on the politics of South and Southeast Asia, with concentration on Burma/Myanmar, will hold interactive discussion with students and research scholars of the Kuki community on April 4, 2013.
Organized by the Kuki Students' Organization, Delhi, the discussion, which is scheduled to commence at 2:30 pm (local time), will cover issues ranging from India's look east policy to democratic transition and democratization in Burma, in the context of Kuki society.
Mr Kipgen is currently a visiting research scholar at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS/ www.csds.in) in New Delhi, India. Kipgen also serves as a "country expert" on Burma/Myanmar for a global academic research project called 'Varieties of Democracy' (www.v-dem.net). His academic article titled "US–Burma Relations: Change of Politics under the Bush and Obama Administrations" published in March 2013 was selected for honorarium by Routledge (Strategic Analysis).
