I.T Road - GoM neglected region ? The mud-Road Condition
I.T Road - GoM neglected region ? The mud-Road Condition :: Pix - IT News

One of the finest regions of Manipur is I.T Road areas that gets connected from district HQ Kangpokpi. The areas being so much rich in vegetation and natural vegetable produces and several other essential resources, development has never been reached until this day.

Despite the region exporting several produces on daily basis at an average of close to 80% of vegetable products from this region alone to Kangpokpi DHQ, this area is still far from achieving development.

Dominated by three different ethnic tribes such as Naga, Kuki and Nepali; the regions are far from achieving so called Quality/Paka Road. Apart from such, daily essentials govt services are still far from reach by the people of this beautiful regions.

Who should take the step to change the face of this region? Who is responsible to all these pathetic living conditions of the I.T Road people that they encountered on day to day basis?

The mud-Road Condition:

As well aware of the fact that good road leads to safe journey and bad road leads to accident. The former being the primary concern of every people’s govt regardless of which party they belong, whereas, the latter being the concern of power-centric and self-loved govt. It is therefore unfortunate to claimed given from the current situation that the day govt seems to be the latter one.

On every single day the number of vehicles playing to and fro is close to 50. Despite the road being so much pathetic and can endanger to one’s live, the people are left with no choice, henceforth are compelled to travel on daily basis. This being so, the roads are never to be said good. It requires stern commitment for our road construction.

Today, In almost every villages of I.T Road areas, there exist more than two or more Vehicles. This is in fact one such development brought by the people of the area to get more connected to urban areas.

Had the road being well smooth for the vehicles, certainly number of vehicles could be triple in the region. The more vehicles, the better is their living conditions. This is why, the people’s govt, whoever claimed to be, should work for this region as a means to reach us out in delivering public attention.

During rainy season, mostly Four wheeler vehicles like Bolero, DI truck etc , needed support of bigger ones like Shaktiman or Tata when they get stucked due to muddy.

It is because of this heavy flooded muddy on the road, besides potholes everywhere, maximum of smaller vehicles are unable to meet their requirements and in addition, the number that used to get stranded in the mid of the road could be more than a hundred in this year alone. How long should this be continued when other developed counties started to used plastic road?

It is not a saying that the entire roads should be well smoothed. Certainly, the worse areas where even two wheer motor finds it difficult to pass by, should be highly concerned atleast; despite uncountable number of potholes existed every after a metre distance.

How one could think a vehicle to pass through a 3 ft deep flooded mud exusted right in mid of the road? Today, and mainly during rainy season, our road looks are never different from that of our paddy fields.

Lack of basic essential govt services:

Today, when development are within the reach of their footsteps, we, the people of this regions are still deprived of all these basic rights. Hard to believe that hardworking people of this regions could still adapt with this pathetic environment conditions that our elected govt provided us.

To no much ado, i dare to say that the present responsible govt should deeply consider that I.T Road people are also part of Manipur wherein, equal development should be made avail to them.

Although India has been advocate of Digital India, still there exist no single Bank in this region; however, internet may be reach. Due to this that even people with a minor issue with regards to their bank and related stuffs needed to travel long pathetic roads to Kangpokpi to just get their problems solved.

This can be an ease for a young ones but with an old elderly man, it becomes such a heavy task. It is therefore pertinent to get installed Bank with an ATM Boot.

Of many, one of the most need of the hour is PHC so long as right to live is concerned. Yes, we have one in T.Waichong where a women of 60 years old or more are compel to visit by travelling more than 5 kms while some still walk on foot to avail the services .

Think about this. How fair you think this is and to which extend can such long distances solved the problems of those who are at urgent need? The roads likely resembles paddy fields and there run no day services like Auto or passenger.

Whose live could be at risk if in any case a person got accident or suddenly get severe? Should they be made reach the PHC on foot?

It is true that mostly weaker sections of the society like women and elderly old man are more prone to visit PHC. This has cost lot of their lives. Responsible elected candidates of the day and overall govt should keep all these in mind in the interest of human lives.

It is also high time that the area have atleast one OIL Pump installed. Until today, we depend on Kangpokpi Oil Pump which is not pretty good for consideration. It will be such a good and a blessing move had govt pave way to make this issue a reality.

Also, this will certainly enhance the people of this region and encourage them to better contribute towards development. Meanwhile, it will also encourage more connectivity from village to village and village to town.

Conclusion:

In today’s world, it is strange thing, by considering modern technology and services, to not avail our essential needs which are part of our day to day requirements .

Apart from govt, private and several social organisations should also come forward to fulfil the ultimate dreams of the people; govt should also equally pay attention to that of the valley regions for the development of this areas.

All players- Public and private sector including individuals, all should collectively come forward to make this area a better place. More so, govt should fulfil the need of the public demands and realized that, it is already late to further play with the sentiment of the people of I.T Road.

We, the people of I.T Road are hungry for Quality education in government schools with no proper residential for the staffs; hungry for having good road connectivity; more so, means for proper public transport and communication; installation of Bank, Oil Pump, ATM and several other modern developmental activities.

If there happened to meet atleast 50% of the mentioned public needs, the common people of this regions may feel as if their rights to acquire and have is fulfil by the govt. Therefore, govt should play bigger role to Peter out all the ill perceptions of general public had over them.
