Heavywater is a bunch of die hard Manipuri rockers based in Bangalore, with an overwhelming sense of passion, burstling energy and the desire to make a mark, and embark on a self-driven musical odyssey. They have been performing regularly for the last 2-3 years at the Sunday Jam, they also headlined Freedom Jam concert in Bangalore last year. This sunday, they will be a featured band in the event. Rock music fans in Bangalore are being informed to meet at the farm in Nelamangala around noon and organically unwind. Event: The SUNDAY JAM, 5th October '08 Featured Band: HEAVY WATER Time: 5.30 pm onwards Venue: Guruskool Campus, Nelamangala, Bangalore HEAVY WATER are: Martin: Vocals Amrzyt: Vocals Megs (Meghanath): Guitars, Backing Vocals Mocha (Gunindro): Bass, Backing Vocals Abu (Bankim): Guitars Falaw (Gautam): Guitars Bolin: Drums SUNDAY JAM is a uniquely informal musician's meet that is part of an on-going endeavor by Guruskool to support musicians. Every first Sunday of the month, music bands meet at Guruskool's farm space in Nelamangala (about a few km away from Bangalore city) to share, perform and jam. Sunday Jams have long been a haven and breeding ground for songwriters and performers in the history of contemporary music in Bangalore.
How to get there: Take the Yeshvantpur route out of town, after a straight ride of about 25 km take left at the Mangalore turnoff near Nelamangala. Take the first right (after about 500 m) and proceed for about 5km till you get to a bridge.
