IS SET ON FEBRUARY 28, 2013
Inspiring Young Leaders on Volunteerism, Social Enterprise, and CSR
The 1st National CSR Youth Leaders Congress shall be the first ever CSR Youth Congress held in Asia.
Participants shall gain awareness and inspiration from matters regarding the pursuit of the common good, volunteerism, corporate sustainability and responsibility, social entrepreneurship, and personal social responsibility commitment as efforts for sustainable development through the sharing of stories from renowned individuals who chose to venture into the life and commitment of service for others in whatever field they are pursuing.
The event is intended for the Youth – from College and Graduate School Students to Young Professionals. It will be held on February 28, 2013 at the De La Salle University Taft Ave. Manila from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Take hold of opportunities to network with your fellow youth. Listen to speakers from Gawad Kalinga, Jesuit Volunteers Philippines, and the ASEAN Youth Volunteers Network who will speak about their experience in leading their own organizations into what it now today. Learn from their own experiences in the journey of volunteerism and development.
The Congress will have a Panel of Reactors which include Mr. Edgardo Amistad who is the Founding Chairman of the ASEAN CSR Network, Mr. Antonio Yap who is the Chairman of the Benita and Catalino Yap Foundation and President of the SACT College System and other experts in the field of CSR and Good Governance.
The afternoon shall be for the sharing of inspiring experiences and key learnings from various leaders in development, mostly from the Global Shapers and the Philippines Representatives to the World Economic Forum such as Atty. Eric Pasion – Founder of Run4Change, Ms. Eleanor Pinugu – Founder of Mano Amiga Inc., Ms. Chely Esguerra – Managing Director of Channel Good Advocacy Communication; and successful social entrepreneur Ms. Noreen Bautista – Founder of Jacinto and Lirio.
The First National CSR Youth Leaders Congress is an event presented by the Institute for Policy Studies under the Benita & Catalino Yap Foundation and the SACT College System, together with De La Salle University College of Business, and in partnership with the ASEAN Youth Volunteers Network, and the Jesuit Volunteers Philippines. The Congress is also supported by the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities, Philippine Association of Graduate Education – NCR, and the Technical Vocational School Associations of the Philippines
