Fighting sick of social terminators

Fighting sick of social terminators has been my overtime conception as the Zeliangrong divisive elements have long hissed out deceitful venom of much distortion tirelessly. I have been bearing pangs of contents sorrow for a long time in the writings of the unthoughtful blasphemy and blatant lies.

The Suicidal approach of those who find joy in displaying folly to please some at the cost of the society or the social status can be much injurious to social health. The ambiguity of many people among the majority Manipuris to groom up the Manipur Hill State “ Nomenclature, the all out opposition to all type of Naga Political Demand, Kuki elites taking pleasure of repeated reminding Kuki-Naga conflicts with the latest before the visiting Union Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh as if the Naga alone including NSCN (IM) killed several hundred Kukis who bore all without killing any Naga, the compulsion to learn Meitei Script and the ban of Hindi films and songs, the Imphal centric Developmental projects and the appealing schemes of doubts or hide and seek blue prints to uproot the poor including S.T. pocket dwellings from the congested Capital areas sparing the richer and powerful ones. I have often made this statement for the sake of better changes.

I still value the Meitei and some other community leaders who speak impartial languages and justice. The Zenith of distrust and Communal discord fanned up through different dimension unabated, the distress and dismay of the runners of the State Government for want of Political strategy and honest state policy for the common good.

All that were spoken unguarded and done at random cannot be a thing different from “Humpty dumpty sat on the wall and had a great fall that all the king’s men and all the king’s horses cannot put Humpty - Dumpty together again”.

The Naga family again is not able to set its home in order. The Liangmei Naga council and the Rongmei Council Presidents issued press notes calling boycott to “Naga Lui-Ngai-Ni” festival though the seed sowing festival passed off triumphantly 15-02-2015, Saturday last at Tahamzam, Manipur and elsewhere.

The arbitrary separate recognition as Zeme, Liangmei, Rongmei, Inpui has no bearing on the aged old standing of “Zeliangrong” entity and no one has the mandate to represent independently otherwise in the UNC or Naga Hoho etc.

The President of Liangmei and Rongmei do not like to see the solidarity of Zeliangrong social representative status in the Naga Hoho and the UNC though C.S. Booth, SDO Tamenglong of 1930s termed such feeling as suicidal as Zeliangrong itself was too small.

Marong (Rongmei) villages, Liangmei villages and independent Naga villages were vulnerable during Kuki-rebellion-1917-1920s, Kuki-Naga conflict- 1990s, British intrusion -1830s, Cachar-Manipur invasions of the early centuries.

The closest link with the most common cultural entity among these groups including Puimei, Kharam, Chiru and Chothe evolved a Zeliangrong Social status in 1940s. Geographical contiguity and compactness of the Zeliangrong region speaks volumes for the inalienable or inseparable truth if not for temporary wrangling now and then, obligatory to return to the fold when all options failed.

Try out and see but you will be obliged to return back to the fold at last. We shall all regret and be reminded by the poem of “Echoing Green” by William Wordsworth” such were the joys when we all boys and girls were seen in the echoing green.

The lamentation: Manipur needs honest policy and Zeliangrong Nagas should no longer be misled by some divisive elements. How long will we live on earth? How long should we neglect justice?
