Today, in our society many Christians go to church in a different manner.
Many of us, going to church has become a fashionable lifestyle or just a weekend routine where there is nothing serious to perform the Holy sermon.
As some people go to church on Sundays for fun, time-past and some people go to church to meet their friends, relatives, or to show-off their new fancy dress and some people go to church just to cover-up their prestige as being a Christian.
But some people go to church with a meaningful purpose to worship and adore Him.
Many of us do not know the real purpose of church and so going to church has become just a name- sake.
Of course. We do pray, we do sing, we do read Holy Scriptures, we do preach and we go to church and attend regularly on Sundays.
But do we really pray seriously?
Do we really sing from our heart ?
Do we really preach with an inspire message?
Or all these just for worldly fame purpose where our minds are far distance from God. People go to church carrying with the Holy Bible, song book, and heavy Holy Scriptures book. Etc.
But inside the pocket cigarette, raja khaini, hard drugs etc. Also carrying to the church.
Then lets ask ourselves-
Are we true Christian ?
Are we real believer ?
Are we really following His steps ?
Fully one-third of earth's inhabitants call themselves Christian but even among them relatively few really know about the true Jesus Christian.
He himself said there would be many imitators- he called them "false Christ" (Mathew 24:24).
Today, many preachers acts double standard where they usually involved in politics.
They don't realized that politics and religion can never go together where God has no place in politics.
It is true that there may be an outward correctness of deportment without the renewing power of Christ.
The love of influence and the desire for the esteem of others may produce a well-ordered life. Self respect lead us to avoid the appearance of evil.
A selfish heart may perform generous action. But look into it, if we are Christ's, our thoughts should be with Him always.
Yes we long to bear His image, breath his spirit, do His will and please Him in all the things and live a pious life always, as the sunflower turns to the sun, that the bright beams may aid in perfecting its beauty and symmetry, so should we turn to the sun of righteousness, that heaven's light may shine upon us, that our character may be developed in the likeness of Christ.
As we should know, a life in Christ is a life of restfulness.
