Danish Death Metal Powerhouse "Dawn of Demise" all set to conquer Imphal at IMC-II

Come 18th October, Imphal will witness the Danish Death Metal Powerhouse "Dawn of Demise" headlining IMC-II at YAC ground. Dawn of Demise consists of Scott Jensen (vocals), Martin Sorensen (guitar), Bjorn Jensen (bass), Thomas Egede (guitar), and Simon Blaabjerg (guitar). Formed in 2004, the band has 1 EP and 3 studio album to its name.

The band shot to fame when they received the "Best live band" at the Danish Metal Awards in 2007. They were also invited as the special guest band on MTV's Headbanger's Ball tour in 2009. The Band has performed all over the world with acclaimed bands like Suffocation, Deicide, Nile, Illdisposed, Hatesphere etc. The band is currently signed with Unique Leader's record and has just returned after touring US.

Apart from the main act, IMC will also feature 11 more bands (1 each from Darjeeling, Senapati & churchandpur along with 8 bands from Imphal). Legendary band "Postmark" will be seen with a new line up. Darjeeling based Sycorax, known for their amazing live acts has also confirmed to be a part of IMC-II.

IMC is the only metal festival in Imphal and this time around it will be a lengthy 10 hour all day long affair at YAC ground. The ticket is priced at Rs 300(one time entry) and a special limited backstage pass is also available at Rs 1000. The show will start at 11am and will end at 9pm sharp. IMC is produced and managed by The Greens Imphal, a young Event Management team from Imphal.

The Greens Imphal hopes that the through IMC, the underground metal bands will have a chance to showcase their talents and share technical knowledge with each other. The lack of sponsors hasn't stopped The Greens Imphal from organising IMC.

Putting together all their pocket moneys, this team with the help of many volunteers have been organising IMC-I and IMC-II for the true love of metal music and is optimistic in making this festival a national event in near future. The Greens Imphal would also like to thank Frameshift Initiatives, Mumbai with whom they've been working with for Dawn of Demise's tour in Imphal.
