DFC Shillong launched with Model Grooming workshop

Shillong is Known for being the education hub of northeast India, Its not only rich in culture and tourism but talent too, but every talent need to be refined before it shine, so to guide, groom and promote new models & help them define their own abilities, personality and aspiration in field of fashion world, a model grooming workshop was organized by Delhi Fashion club in association with Lakme Academy, Shillong on 16 November, 2022.

This event also marked the launch of DFC Shillong chapter which aims to promote the talent of northeast India. This event witnessed training about ramp walk, knowledge about fashion shows, media, movies and how to bring the best out of yourself.

This event witnessed grooming by well known celebrity fashion director and youtube personality Mr. Harshit Dhingaun who have more than 217k+ subscribers, Ex- Channel V Fame Reality star & have been working with Bollywood celebrities too as Host. After a great knowledgeable and motivational session by him, the event witnessed Self make up techniques important for fashion industry by Lakme Academy, Shillong team.

Ramp walk demo was given by a young model from Meghalaya named Eulaila Malngiang. All the participants received certificate and center directors Rowina L. kharbteng & Sajidul Haque Mawlong received award from Delhi Fashion club.

In Past, Delhi Fashion club has been associated with Asian designer week, International fashion week in Goa, IFW Chandigarh and India Fashion week designers as well. From last 6Yrs, DFC is promoting northeast talents in mainland India through series of events and Youtube videos on the VOY channel which creating a change in society by voicing against racism & also promote tourism at same time.

DFC is now looking to promote models in India and internationally through various platforms & associations for which they are conducting auditions cum grooming workshop across India especially in Northeast.

DFC also shortlisted four Models named Eulaila Malngiang , Shilla ch marak ,Wandashisha Rani & Priya azaka sariang for upcoming projects with Delhi Fashion Club in India and abroad, DFC will groom them more to be the best personality in field of fashion industry.

Delhi Fashion club is a fashion management association founded in 2016 by celebrity fashion director Mr. Harshit dhingaun with aim to boost fashion industry and help the talented people across India grow together with various activities like fashion shows, workshops and shoots, DFC is appreciated by Government of India for promotion of northeast handlooms through series of events and on youtube channel TheVOY voice of youth.

They have named this initiative as Reinvent northeast. Now, the team is planning to launch more chapters in Shillong and dimapur to promote and cover complete northeast slowly. DFC already launched in Guwahati, Bangalore, Mumbai, Goa, Dehradun & Chandigarh.
