Delhi Fashion Club launched DFC Diphu Chapter during Karbi handloom show For culture & Tourism promotion of Karbi Anglong, Assam

Karbi anglong is a land of culture, Eco tourism and talent but this have not been promoted enough to create awareness among the mainland India. With the aim to promote the culture, tourism, textile and talent of Karbi Anglong nationally & internationally, Delhi Fashion club launched DFC Diphu Chapter & announced an initiative “International Reinvent Northeast” which go in line with govt. of India initiatives such as “Be Vocal for local” and “Make in Northeast”.

This announcement was done during a runway fashion event recently at Karbi heritage museum , which is one of the biggest tourist attraction & a source of learning about karbi culture for the visitors.

This event also witnessed a fashion show aiming to promote karbi handloom by designer Sabina Teronpi. This event was beautifully managed by DFC Diphu associate Miss Julie Beypi & others One Unit members. DFC Diphu initiative was announced by well-known celebrity fashion director & Chairman of Delhi Fashion club, who is also a youtube personality named Mr. Harshit Dhingaun ( known as THE VOY – Voice of Youth ) & have more than 218k+ subscribers, Ex- Channel V Fame actor & have been working with Bollywood celebrities & entertainment world from 15yrs.

He was welcomed by local team with a karbi jacket and Karbi poho, On his first visit to karbi anglong, He said “Karbi anglong will be so beautiful, I was not aware, certainly it needs more promotion and whole india must visit this place. Today! I am feeling as if i am in heaven because the people here are full of love, beauty and hospitality, Karbi people have a beautiful heart with beautiful soul, it’s a beginning of our association with karbi anglong and we hope it goes a long way.”

Delhi Fashion club also shortlist few Karbi models named Anushka teronpi & Malin Ronghangpi for their future events from this karbi Anglong runway show. Recently DFC also organized “International Reinvent Northeast ( IRN) ”- Dimapur which got great response & success. Now, planning to do next edition in Karbi anglong & other northeast states. The main event will be hosted in the Capital, New Delhi giving it national & international appeal with collaboration of international designers too. This event pre promotion already being done in Delhi, Shillong, Guwahati, Dimapur & Diphu now.

In Past, Delhi Fashion club has been associated with Asian designer week, International fashion week in Goa, IFW Chandigarh and India Fashion week designers as well. From last 6 yrs, DFC is promoting northeast talents in mainland India through series of events and Youtube videos.

DFC is appreciated by Government of India for promotion of northeast handlooms through series of events and on youtube channel TheVOY voice of youth. They have named this initiative as Reinvent northeast. Now, the team already launched its chapters in Shillong and dimapur to promote and cover complete northeast slowly. DFC team already present in Guwahati, Bangalore, Mumbai, Goa, Dehradun & Chandigarh.
