Cry Of A Dying River...31
Rajendra Kshetri *
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that is worried about/for water bodies
Worrying that water bodies/wetlands are worried about for rivers
Water bodies are worried about/for rivers
Worrying that rivers are worried about/for water bodies
The river that is worried about transforming
Wetlands into concrete lands
Playing fields into shopping malls
The river that is mighty worried about
Men's unceasing greed for encroachment.
I am no longer the river I was once
The rivet that has many fears
Fear of plastics and oil spill
Fear of untreated sewage
Fear of garbage throwers
The river that is most fear full of one single fear
Mother of all fears
Fear of rapacious encroachers
Encroachers who give a damn to the law of the land
A penny's thought for environment and riverine ecoleogy.
