Cry Of A Dying River...15
Rajendra Kshetri *
I am no longer the river I was once
The anti-war river that has been/is fighting a lone battle
A battle against environmental degradation
A lone ranger against deforestation
An unbiased critic of hydro-electric projects
A mindfull opponent of mining the planet earth
The eco-friendly river that echoes Nature's clarion call
A call to stop irresponsible exploitation of natural resources
The prophetic river that wishes no dooms-day
The end of non-renewable natural resources.
I am no longer the river / was once
The river that is fast losing its biomass
The river that is in a perpetual state of mourning
The rapid depletion of biodiversity and biosphere
The threatened habitat of endangered animals birds fishes and mammals
The river that is too small a price to be paid
In the men's greedy battle to conquer Nature
The River That Loves Telling Re-telling and Re-telling
The Story Of Young Kalidas
Who Cuts The Very Branch(of the tree) He Sits.
