NSUD: Condolence Message
The Naga Students' Union Delhi (NSUD) is deeply saddened to learn about the sudden mudslide triggered by a monsoon downpour demolishing tin-roofed homes in Tamenglong Headquarter, Manipur on
the fateful night of 11th July, 2018, killing 8 children and a woman. Such a tragic incident causing the demise of many innocent lives is shocking and unwelcoming in all shapes and sizes. The NSUD prays that our Almighty God will grant the bereaved family members and relatives all the strength needed to get through this moment of grief.
Natural calamities are beyond our control. The consequences are even more unpredictable. We, the NSUD, share our most sincerest condolences to the families grieving the immeasurable and irreparable loss of the
deceased; these being the loss of not just the families but the whole Community and the society. We further pray for those injured to recover soon.
While in such a pathetic state the responsibility solely lies on the state Government and the concerned authorities to intervene immediately. In solidarity, the Union fervently appeals to all the civil organizations to join hands and continue to proffer noble gestures towards the welfare of our people.
The NSUD shall fondly uphold in prayers the grief-stricken, and their family members; for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on.
May our most heartfelt sorrow and condolences bring forth all consolation and peace during such excruciating time, and give you the comfort and courage to start anew despite these tribulations.
With deepest sympathy,
Naga Students' Union, Delhi.
