Concern over ongoing conflict in Manipur

We, the Manipurls living in Mumbal, express our deep concern over the ongoing conflict in Manipur, which threatens the peace, security, and socio-cultural fabric of the state.

The root cause of this conflict lies in the massive Intlux of both armed and unarmed illegal Immigrants from the bordering country that led to destabilization of ManipuPa demographic profile, resources, and protected areas/ land.

The imbalance In land possession and purchasing rights, along with the trafficking of drugs and arms through porous international boundaries, poses a signillnnt threat to the state's and subsequently nation's security.

Manipur, with its rich history spanning over 2000 years, Is a land of litiniense culturd'and historical significance. Any attempt to disintegrate its geography would not only distort Its history, culture, and heritage but also undermine the aspirations and identity of MainpuHs.

We firmly stand For the integrity of Manipur, promoting equality and equity across all communities. In the light of the escalating conflict and Its potential larger persuasions, we urgently appeal to both the Central and Smte Governments to take immediate measures to restore peace and stability In Manipur.

We call for proactive and comprehensive actions to address the Issues of illegal immigration. land rights, and cross-border criminal activities. It Is Imperative that the governments work together to safeguard the security of the state and protect the interests of manipuri communities.

We pledge our unwaverIng.support to the people of Manipur in their quest for peace, justice. and harmonious coexistence. We extend our heartfelt appeal to all stakeholders, including the governments, civil society organizations, and fellow citizens to come together and work towards resolving the issues.

We firmly believe In the power of dialogue, understanding and unity to overcome challenges and build a better future for Manipur.

Let us join hands in preserving the integrity of the state and upholding the values of inclusivity, equality and cultural diversity that define us as Manipuris.

Together, lets strive for a peace and prosperous Manipur.
