Centre's move on illegal Hindu migrants decried
Assam Tribune | Sobhapati Samom | Imphal, Aug 16

NIPP is a forum of around 30 indigenous communities of the North-East committed to resolving all issues posing a threat to the survival of the indigenous peoples of the region. “We stand collectively against any political mechanism that may provide provisions for recognition of illegal immigrants settled in the NE States as citizens without historical legality,” NIPP coordinator Ningthouja Lancha stated. “We have taken a stand in this regard in a recent meet in Tripura.”
