Programme on 'Brewing Bio Entrepreneurships in Manipur' on 18th March, 2021

Programme on “Brewing Bio Entrepreneurships in Manipur” was inaugurated on 18th March, 2021 at MIMS Auditorium, Manipur University. The Programme was jointly organised by Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development (School of Social Sciences, Manipur University) and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University (KIIT-TBI) Bhubaneswar and will be held from 18th to 20th March, 2021.

Prof. S. Sanatombi Singha (Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University) , Prof. S. Mangi Singh (Dean, School of Social Science, Manipur University), Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar (CEO, KIIT-TBI, Bhubaneswar), Prof. L. Prabhakar Singh (Director of Manipur Institute Management Study, (MIMS) Manipur University) and Prof. N. Rajmuhon Singh (Dept. of Chemistry, MU) have graced the inaugural function as Chief Guest, President, Guest of honour and keynote speaker respectively.

Prof. S. Sanatombi Singha expressed Brewing Bio-entrepreneurship in Manipur shall definitely give the awareness of entrepreneurship potentials in Manipur especially in the area of Bio-resources and it will contributes a lot to employment generation and helps in the socio-economic development. The technical session was started after the inaugural function at 11:30 AM.

15/03/2021: 1ST STATE LEVEL INDIVIDUAL OPEN YOGASANA SPORT CHAMPIONSHIP 2021

Valedictory Function of 1st State Level Individual Open Yogasana Sport Championship was conducted on 15/3/2021. The State level Championship on Yogasana Sport was organised by Manipur Yogasana Sports Association (MYSA), Affiliated to National Yogasana Sports Federation(NYSF) approved by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, in collaboration with Department of Yoga, Manipur University, Canchipur.

The event was conducted at Dr. Kamal Indoor Stadium, Manipur University Prof. S. Sanatombi Singha (Vice Chancellor(i/c), MU), Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh(Registrar, MU), Prof. T. Inaobi Singh(Dean, School of Education, MU), Dr. Maibam Nodiyachand Singh(HOD, Department of Yoga, MU), Sri. L. Meenabanta Singh(Social Activist), Dr. N. Chaoba Singh(President, Manipur Yogasana Sports Associoation(MYSA)) graced the function as Chief Guest, Guest of Honours and President respectively.

MARCH 5-6, 2021: CONFERENCE ON "BORDERLAND PEOPLES OF INDO-MYANMAR REGION"

Two days Conference on Myanmar Studies, 2021 "Trans border Ethnic Communities at the Borderlands of India and Myanmar" was organised by Manipur University, Centre for Myanmar Studies, Canchipur, Imphal Under the aegis of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.

06/03/2021: MOU FOR ACADEMIC AND CULTURAL EXCHANGES PROGRAMME (ASSAM RIFLES & MANIPUR UNIVERSITY)

MoU Signing Ceremony for Academic and Cultural Exchanges Programme with Assam Rifles & Manipur University has also performed at the Committee Room of the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat, Manipur University.

Members present from Manipur University are Prof. S. Sanatombi Singha (Vice Chancellor, Manipur University), Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh (Registrar, Manipur University), Prof. S. Mangi Singh (Dean, School of Social Sciences, Manipur University), Prof. N. Lokendra Singh (Head, Department of National Security Studies), Dr. K. Himalay Singh (Retd. General) and Faculty Members of the Department of National Security Studies.

And Members from Assam Rifles are DGP Assam Rifles, IGP Assam Rifles, OC Assam Rifles and few others.

01/03/2021 : MOU FOR ACADEMIC COLLABORATION

Manipur University has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Indian Institute of Bank Management, Guwahati for Academic Collaboration with Manipur Institute of Management Studies, Manipur University. The MoU Signing Ceremony was conducted at the Indian Institute of Bank Management on 1st March 2021.

Members present from Manipur University are Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh (Registrar, Manipur University) and Dr. Sanasam Somokanta Singh (Assistant Professor, Manipur Institute of Management Studies, MIMS-MU).
