Babul Boro from Guwahati becomes 6th Fair & Lovely Men Mega Mr. North East

In front of an audience of approximately 700 spectators from all across the north eastern region, Babul Boro from Guwahati became the 6th Fair & Lovely Men Mega Mr. North East 2015 at the ITA Cultural Complex, Machkhowa. Besides, Dipankar Buragohain and Samar Sarkar from Guwahati became the 1st and 2nd runners up respectively.
The contestants travelled to Guwahati for almost a week of activities, grooming and training sessions conducted by Mega Entertainment, followed by rehearsals, leading up to the Grand Finale of the biggest Man Hunt of North East India. The pageant has been supported by Fashion Partner Reliance Trends, Telecom Partner Vodafone and Nutrition & Health Partner ABS Enterprise.
24 year old Babul Boro from Guwahati is an M. Lib student at the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. His family comprises of his parents and an elder sister. Babul aspires to complete his education while he takes time to perfect his skills in the field of modeling and fashion. Babul Boro has won a prize package worth Rs 1 Lac which includes cash prize, gifts from pageant sponsors, extensive travel opportunities and professional representation by Mega Entertainment.
Besides, he has also been awarded a year's privileged membership at the Metro Gym, which was the Fitness Partner for the event. The three winners will be offered a professional grooming session, which would guide them further on how to carry themselves forward in the professional sphere. Besides, they will also get the opportunity to be a part of various regional and national assignments.

The organizers of the event, Mega Entertainment, had shortlisted 41 men, who vied for the coveted title of Fair & Lovely Men Mega Mr. North East 2015. The pageant is inspired by Designer/ Fashion Choreographer and the powerhouse of fashion & pageant industry Abhijit Singha. Abhijit Singha, Founder of Mega Entertainment and Managing Director of Fair & Lovely Men Mega Mr. North East 2015, spoke during the crowning ceremony, "Through Fair & Lovely Men Mega Mr. North East we look for a young and aspiring talent that is fit, intelligent and driven to be a role model - using her attributes to make a difference in the society. The Man Hunt will not culminate with mere felicitation of the winners. We also make it a mission to give them an international platform from where their dreams can take flight."
Vedika Mohan and popular RJ Nabeesh joined forces to host this year's show for the first time as co-hosts. During the strong competition the contestants were judged in four segments: traditional wear, Black Suit presentation, Reliance Trends collection and personality interview as they vied for the coveted title of Fair & Lovely Men Mega Mr. North East 2015.
Leni Ralte– 2nd Runner-up Mega Miss North East 2014, Archana Barman from Assam – 1st Runner-up Mega Miss North East 2014 and Mega Mr. North East 2014 Siddharth Boro felicitated the winners respectively at the conclusion of the pageant. The judges who sealed the fate of this year's winner included: Monika Devi, Committee Member of Mega Entertainment; Neelotpal Deka, the first Cyber Crime Lawyer of North East; Kaushik Bezbaruah, CEO, Pride East Entertainment Pvt Ltd; Juhi Gogoi, Mega Miss North East 2013; and Radhika Radia, AVP Operations & Channel Relations – GRACENOTE (Tribune Media Services).
The pageant organizers were also judged for a series of sub-awards. The results were as under- Rakesh Singh from Manipur was awarded Mr. Magnetic Personality and Reliance Trends Mr. Trendy; ABS Enterprise Best Physique was given to Samar Sarkar from Assam; Shiv Pandey from Meghalaya won Rahul's Spectrum Mr. Photogenic award; and Vodafone Most Popular Male award, which is selected on the basis of highest number of votes received and allows direct entry into the semi-final, was given away to Manash Jyoti Sarma from Assam.
