The annual publication of the Manipur Students’ Association Delhi MAHEIROI 2012 was released on 14th November 2012, at a solemn program held at the Manipur Information Centre, Delhi. The publication covers wide ranging topics that are thematically grouped under the following sections: MSAD reports and documents; articles; short stories; poetry and lyrics; award winning essays; and illustrations. The annual publication, in addition to the bi-monthly newsletter, is a platform to keep alive the literally tradition of MSAD to engage in collection and circulation of ideas on contemporary Manipur.
The program was attended by the current executive members of MSAD, advisors, volunteers, committee members, editorial members, former executive members, well wishers including honourable MP Dr. Th. Meinya and Joint Director of MIC Mr. Meghachandra Kongbam.
It was noted that Maheiroi 2012 was a big achievement of collective effort that has to be upheld and continued. It was decided that fund raised from selling of Maheiroi will be utilized for publication of Maheiroi 2013 and other literary activities. The program concluded with vote of thanks that expressed gratitude to all those who had contributed to MSAD and also made a call to collectively engage in democratic activities and publications.
