It is hereby notified that MSAD Annual General Election 2008 will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2008 for the following executive posts: President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Organisation Secretary, Finance Secretary, Public Relations Secretary, Academic & Magazine Secretary, Games & Sports Secretary and Cultural Secretary.

Election Rules & Regulations and nomination form may be downloaded here (PDF - 118 KB) or (msadmanipur.com) or obtained from the MSAD office.

Polling will be held at the following three places;
1. CC Park, Jamia Islamia Unversity,
2. Kendriya Vidyalaya Primary School, Near Sabramati/ Tapti Hostel, Jawaharlal Nehru University and
3. Arts Faculty, University of Delhi (North Campus).
4. Polling starts at 10.30 a.m. and is closed at 3.30 p.m.

Voting Rights:
1. Voting right is exclusively restricted to Manipuri students in Delhi whose names are in the voters list of MSAD.
2. A voter can cast vote not more than once and only at the polling station of his/her constituency.
3. A voter may either inquire in person or browse the MSAD website (http://www.msadmanipur.com) to confirm his/her name in the voters list and the constituency.
4. A voter must inform (either in person or through telephone / internet, i.e, [email protected]) to the Election Committee, latest by 22 October, his/her name and the details of the course of study and the student identity card that he/she must produce at the time of verification by the poling officer. Verification of the identity card of a voter is mandatory for issuing a ballot paper against his/her name. The student identity card mentioned above should bear the name of the institution and should be an identity card issued by the legitimate authority of the concerned institution. .
5. Students of Class X and below standards are not eligible to cast vote.

Important Dates:
1. Last date for filing of nomination form and withdrawal of candidature is October 22, 2008.
2. Last date of registration on names to the voters list is October 22, 2008
3. Scrutiny of candidature will be held on October 23, 2008 at the Open Air Theatre, Arts Faculty, University of Delhi (North Campus) at 4 p.m.
4. Oath taking ceremony of the MSAD executives (2008-2009 term) will be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Open Air Theatre, Arts Faculty, University of Delhi (North Campus) at 11 a.m.

NOTIFICATION

Ref. No: Advisory Board/EC notification/05-10-2008

It is hereby notified that, vide Section II, Article 10 of the MSAD Constitution, the Advisory Board on Sunday, October 5, 2008, have dissolved the existing Election Committee and have constituted the Election Committee for the 2008-2009 term.

The Advisory Board have reiterated the constitutional provisions of MSAD and have informed the newly constituted members of the Election Committee that, (a) the Committee would nominate a member of the outgoing Executive Committee as caretaker until a new Executive Committee is constituted, and (b) conduct a free and fair election as per the Election Rules & Regulations.
