Topic at TEDx event 2012 in Belgium
"Lights of the living cell"
All living organism emits spontaneous ultra-weak photon emission as a result of cellular metabolic processes. It is differentiated from the phenomenon of bioluminescence as it is spontaneously emitted by living organism without any excitation.
The intensity of light emitted is 1000 times lower than the sensitivity of the human eye and thus invisible to the human eye. We image this photon in one and two dimensional imaging system.
