Tata Institute of Social Sciences The School of Health Systems Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai is introducing a new Master's programme in Public Health (MPH) from June 2008. The curriculum of this four semester programme blends cutting-edge knowledge, skills and practice orientation creating a unique programme. The MPH programme has a focus on Social Epidemiology designed to develop conceptual understanding of public health issues, impart research and analytical skills to engage in evidence based planning, implementation and management of public health initiatives at various levels. Each semester concludes with an internship in a different health service set up, and research dissertation is compulsory part of the curriculum. ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY: (i) Medical graduates (with completed internship on or before 21.06.2008); or (ii) A Master's degree in any discipline, or (iii) Non-medical graduates with minimum 2 years experience after graduation in health sector. RESERVATIONS: Government of India norms will be applicable for admission of SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Disability (PWD) and International Students. Only a limited number of hostel seats and scholarships are available.
