Greeting

I am attaching the Fellowship and Job Opportunity in Centre for Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai. (for detail tiss.edu/cmcs).

Kindly Put up this announcement for the Fellow Manipuris.

With effect from 2008, the Centre for Media and Cultural Studies, TISS will initiate two new programmes:

Artist/Scholar in residence
The Centre will invite one or two eminent media practitioners or researchers (film makers, theatre persons, traditional media artistes, cultural studies scholars etc.) for a total period of 4 to 6 weeks a year.

The artist/scholar in residence would be expected to hold one public talk and conduct one or more workshops with students, faculty etc., in addition to interacting with members of the Centre to explore creative collaboration. Nominations in early 2008.

Fellowships to new practitioners
This will enable fresh media graduates who want to produce media materials on issues of social relevance to spend approximately six months at the Centre, with equipment and other support.

The productions that emerge through this process would add to the Centre’s collection of media materials. Two fellowships per year are envisaged. Applications for fellowships will be invited in early 2008.
