The Naga people had amply demonstrated to the world that Nagaland would stay independent in a referendum held in 1951, but it was Indians who had been denying the Naga people their rightful place amongst the international community, the NNC leader said.
She however stated that there was no compelling reason why the Nagas should not remain optimistic to achieve their hard fought freedom in God’s own time.
