Action against Naga underground's violating rights of Arunachal citizens: P. Chidambaram
Nagaland Post | May 12, 2012, 10.13PM IST
Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram Saturday warned the Naga underground groups present in Arunachal Pradesh that “firm action” would be taken against them if they violated the rights of the citizens.
When his attention was drawn to the reported turf war between NSCN (I-M) and NSCN (K) in Tirap and Changlang districts, Chidambaram said the ceasefire agreement with the Naga outfit did not extend to Arunachal Pradesh and the state government could take stern action against the cadres of both the factions.
“They (NSCN factions) are fighting among themselves to eliminate both...If they try to make people suffer due to their infighting, our forces will take firm action,” he said.
