Till now, We had two papers from Manipur at the first conference by Prof Arambam Lokendro and Loitongbam Babloo. This year, we are looking foward to receive more applicants especially from the young scolars from Manipur.
We have quite a number of scholarship positions this time, so I am hoping that some deserving scholars from Manipur grab this opportunity and highlight the burning issues of our soil.

SEAHRN- Southeast Asia Human Rights Studies Network
A CONCERTED EFFORT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
The Southeast Asian Human Rights Studies Network (SEAHRN) is a consortium of academic institutions which provide human rights education through study programs, research and outreach activities within the Southeast Asian region. The network, which was established in 2009, has 14 founding member institutions from 5 countries.
The SEAHRN was born out of a common dream to enhance and deepen the knowledge and understanding of students and educators as well as other individuals and institutions from Southeast Asia in human rights. This goal will be achieved by engaging in collaborative research, improving course curricula and training programmes, sharing of best practices and conducting capacity building training of educators, staff and students and other interested individuals and institutions. Furthermore, it seeks necessary regional academic and civil society cooperation to sustain the effective promotion and protection of human rights in the region. The network desires to open its doors to interested institutions and individuals who share its vision for human rights in Southeast Asia.
The Second International Conference on Human Rights and Peace & Conflict in Southeast Asia aims to:
1.Provide a venue for the sharing and dissemination of academic and practical researches on human rights and peace and conflict in Southeast Asia;
2.Promote knowledge and skills among human rights and peace and studies scholars and activists to strengthen indigenous knowledge on human rights and peace and conflict in Southeast Asia;
3.Open up space for dialogue and networking among academics, researchers, postgraduate students, and members of civil society organizations and government and inter-government agency representatives who work on the research and greater understanding of human rights in Southeast Asia.
