2-Days Loktak Waterbird Census and Motivation Camp at Thinungei

Wild Life Wing, Department of Forest, Govt. of Manipur in association with Pole Star Guardians’ Association, Thinungei (POSGAT) and Center for Conservation of Nature and Cultivation of Science (CCNCS) is organising 2-Days Loktak Waterbird Census cum Motivation Camp to be held from Saturday, the 12th January, to 13th Jan, at T.P. High School, Thinungei.
The camp is to be participated by around 80 delegates from in and around the Loktak lake including 15 police officers who are participating in the coming Loktak Waterbird Census, 2013 on the 19th Janauary, 2013 and for further conservation efforts of waterbirds of Loktak.

-9:00 - 10: am - Application of GIS and GPS in waterbird conservation by Dr. R.K. Chingkhei and Dr. Th. Dolen Singh, Manipur University.
-10:30 - 11:30 am. - Waterbird Census Techqnique in Loktak by R.K. Birjit Singh
-12:am. - 1.30 pm. - An overview of Wild Life Protection Act,1972 by Kh.Hitler, RO, Wild Life Wing
